The creation
We looked around and saw the cost of living increasing, situational distress rising and the gaps in the services to meet the expanding demand and a question arose.... How do we ease people's financial week, decrease stress, decease harm arising and improve the Mental Health Service Industry? From there the brainstorming began. It took 1.5 years to plan out and then the doors opened to trial. Within a couple of months of opening the community showed us exactly what they needed and we followed their guide to provide our services accordingly.
Next we wished to base our policies and procedures and governing rules on the oldest culture, where natural balance and harm reduction was included in their constitution, so we spoke with Wayne Stevens, Eastern Guruma, traditional owner and began learning. We knew that everyone has a piece of the puzzle to improving life for all, so why not begin with the first Lore and constition.
Our Logo
From one vision, three others were brave enough to trial the plan. There were 4 of us who were present at opening the doors and those 4 still remain as the backbone of this organisation today. The logo depicts these 4, yet a whole lot more.
As we learned, we were shown the number 4 also represents the 4 skin groups of our beautiful lands, the guardians taught by the original creator. The creator gave these guardians a constitution for all to live by harmoniously, equally and practically in alignment for all including the Earth herself. It also represents the expansion from this 4 to the unity of one, as the square becomes the circle. In ancient knowledge this is known as “circling the square”. This is an individual journey back to creation itself. The four friends in arms, demonstrates how we stand together, empowering each other in compassion and peace.
The Development
From vision to seeding life, we chose to be in a world where all pieces of the mental health journey are considered. This meant collaboration with both people seeking services and those providing services, met in a harmonious balance to improve the way mental health is delivered and experienced. Though, funding to services nationally were limited. Changes were needed.
Our Aims to reduce harm from a wide range of view.
1. Bring health education to people to empower and remind them there is an easier way forward, to guiding their own unique health experiences peacefully.
